Reporting an error
Send the article headline or link, publication date, the disputed statement and supporting evidence through the Contact Editorial page.
Our review
An editor will review the original material, contact relevant sources where necessary and assess whether a correction, clarification, update or no change is appropriate.
How we correct
Material factual errors are corrected promptly and a note explains what changed. Minor spelling or formatting fixes may be made without a note when they do not alter meaning.
Updates and takedowns
Developing stories may be updated as facts emerge. Removal is exceptional and considered for compelling legal, safety, privacy or ethical reasons—not simply because accurate reporting is inconvenient.
